ABOUT ME

Hey there! My name’s Laura, although many people know me as The Caffeinated Woman.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME:

I love to laugh, live out-loud, drink good coffee, read good books, and engage in deep conversation. I am a champion for Caffeinated Living: paying attention to what’s going on inside and outside of you, and showing up to the people that are yours to love and the work that is yours to do.

My life truly would not be the same without my exceptional twin girls, my loyal, adventurous, exemplary husband, and my sweet, goofy pup. A lover of cooking and reading cookbooks, I 100% believe food is the missing love language, and my specialty is supper. Occasionally I share strategies for overcoming disaster at dinnertime.

SPEAKING & WRITING:

I am a motivated author and speaker, with my most recent publication being the book Live Wide Awake. It is my passion to teach women to love who they are and enjoy what they do through self-awareness, acceptance and appreciation. Having experienced both abundant blessing and significant loss, I share stories and my signature Pay-Attention practices to encourage others to love who you are and know God, not just know about God.

Many of my stories come from the quotidian life of a strong-willed woman who is devoted to and has wrestled with the christian faith, and from being accidental expert in dinnertime. My posture and openness to life reveal that I am, "never the expert, always the student."

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

- Howard Thurman

I write to serve you. I’m not afraid to ask, I’m not afraid to talk about what matters most. We’ve landed on the other side of a pandemic some of us with annoying anxiety and worry gone wild. Let’s name it, contain it, and untangle those knots.
